For the price of a new drive I would recommend you clone the existing drive to a 1TB drive. The above probably will not free much space. Delete the following if not used. Check to see if Microsoft Backup is enabled. Thank you againĬheck the amount of disk space allocated to System Restore. I will add the additional partition space today and give an update. I almost feel like there is something taking up more space than it should be taking or maybe installed more than once or something. I have so much more on my laptop 40GB hard drive including a very large amount of music and pictures and I still have half of the space free on that drive. I just don't understand what could be taking up 76GB of hard drive space. Maybe that will resolve all the system issues i'm having. I will try to allow for 15% on C: partition. As you can see I have USB memery cards for all of the non system stuff I want to save. Like I said I don't know what is taking up all of my hard drive space, I don't even have any (movies, music, photos, etc.) I can remove whatever I need to to fix the partition issue but I don't know what I can safely remove without having system problems. I'm not sure what to do about all the items on the C: drive. Thank you Louis, I have removed the two reg cleaners like you suggested and the old version of Java as well. All the others I don't know anything about them or if I can safely remove any of them. I added a red star to each item in the add and remove section to show what items I do know what they do and why they are there. Maybe it has something to do with what is taking up so much space on the hard drive or maybe it's just a coincidence that it stopped working around the same time I notice the memory issue. It always tells me there is something preventing troubleshooting from starting. I will add screenshots to show what I do have and maybe someone can help me figure out why I don't have any memory remanding on my computer which is effecting my online experience? I do have something wrong with troubleshooting on this computer also. I don't have any pictures, Doc, Videos or music on the hard drive so that isn't taking up space. I don't know what a lot of the stuff in the add and remove section is for so i'm not sure if I can remove it safely or not. Here is the crazy part, I don't really have many things in the add and remove section of windows so I can't remove much more to get more space on my hard drive. They ether are very slow loading, load upto a certain amount which is kind of scrambled or won't load at all. IDK if that is possible but it always seems like when I get short on hard drive space pages do one of three things. I'm running out of hard drive space and it seems to be effecting pages loading onto chrome. Hello, I could really use any help I can get to try and figure out what's going on with my computer. ![]()
